Estói is a charming small town just north east of Faro in the foothills of the Serra do Caldeirão. Its narrow cobbled streets wind down hill to a charming square with the main church and a couple of cafés. On the 2nd Sunday of each month Estói comes alive for a huge market on the outskirts of the town.  Estói also boasts the best preserved Roman architectural remains `Milreu` and a very fine example of Neo-Classical architecture the Palácio de Estói, better known as the Pink Palace. The surrounding rural areas of Estói are home to many Algarve property owners and is enticing new purchasers to the Algarve property market all the time.
